Our Vetting and Safer Recruitment Checks
We are committed to safeguarding children and young people. Every candidate is fully vetted in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) before they are placed in a school.
Before any placement, we complete:

Enhanced DBS check, including Update Service status where applicable

Identity verification, with photo ID and proof of address

Right to work in the UK

Qualification and teacher status checks, including prohibition checks where relevant

Overseas checks for candidates who have lived or worked abroad

Employment history review, with any gaps explored

Two references, including the most recent employer

Online presence check for shortlisted candidates
What this means for schools:
We share confirmation of completed checks on request, and records are held securely in line with UK GDPR.
What this means for candidates:
Vetting typically takes 5-10 working days. Having your documents ready at registration is the best way to speed things up.

Rates & Frameworks
GCA is the Government Commercial Agency, formerly Crown Commercial Service, and its new framework launched on 1 May 2026, replacing the old Supply Teachers and Temporary Staffing (STaTS) framework. Its reference number is RM6376. Many people still know the body by its old name, so “formerly Crown Commercial Service”
Our rates either match or come in under the Government Commercial Agency (GCA) Supply Teachers and Education Recruitment framework (RM6376), so schools can be confident they’re getting fair, transparent pricing. A full rate card is available on request.
